AT THE EVENT
This unforgettable event takes place outdoors in the beautiful garden of the Rose and Crown. With a dedicated area set up exclusively for live performances, you’ll enjoy an incredible atmosphere surrounded by fresh air, great company, and the charm of a classic village pub. It's the perfect setting for a night of music, community, and celebration under the open sky.
Bring your camping chairs, your best mates, and something warm—this is a British summer night, after all! We’ll be outside all evening, so dress for the vibes and the weather.
EAT AND DRINK
The garden bar will be open and operated by the Rose and Crown, serving draught lagers, ales, spirits, wine and mixers at a reasonable price. Card and cash are accepted.
A BBQ will be serving burgers, and snacks are available from the bar.
We have a Zero Tolerance for Bad Behaviour: This is a safe, friendly space for all. Aggression, harassment, or any antisocial behaviour won’t be tolerated. You’ll be removed from the event—no warnings, no second chances.
We operate a strict Challenge 25 policy. If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, please bring valid photo ID to purchase alcohol. No ID, no service—it’s the law

What is the Hundon Music Bash?Originally launched as a one-off music night a few years ago, the event quickly struck a chord with the local community. Thanks to the passion of Dawn and Doug, and support from Helen and the Rose and Crown, the demand for more turned it into an annual celebration. Over the years, it’s grown into a much-loved village tradition, even attracting big-name acts like Dr. Feelgood and The John Otway Experience. Now rebranded as the Hundon Music Bash, we’re more committed than ever to throwing the village’s best party, packed with great music, good vibes, and unforgettable memories.
-
What is the music like this year? This year’s lineup brings a brilliant mix of acoustic sets, indie vibes, punk rock energy, and something a little different—trashabilly! Never heard of it? Think rockabilly’s rebellious cousin: raw, high-energy, gritty and loud, with a good dash of attitude. It’s a genre-spanning night of live music that’s got something for everyone—whether you're into toe-tapping melodies or full-throttle riffs.
-
How can I help?Absolutely, we’d love it if you did! We’re currently on the lookout for a few friendly volunteers to help as door staff. No experience needed, just bring your own smartphone to scan tickets, and full training will be provided by Aaron Flack. Contact us if your willing to volunteer your time. We will need a few hands for various times, most notably the first 3-4 hours, and in return your personal ticket is free! Other than that, we’ve got a great team in place. The amazing crew at the Rose and Crown are handling food and drink, and the rest of the event is being run by a well-oiled (and slightly excitable) machine. The best way to support us? Spread the word! Share our posts, tell your mates, and grab your tickets early. Every bit helps make the Hundon Music Bash the best it can be.
-
What time do gates open and close? The garden gates officially open at 5pm, but if you’re keen to beat the queue, we’ll be offering pre-scanning from 4pm in the main pub, perfect if you're dropping in early for a cheeky pre-drink or two. The event (and the bar) will wrap up around 11:30pm, and we kindly ask everyone to vacate the premises by midnight sharp.
-
I brought a ticket but cant make it anymore, what do I do?Since tickets are classed as donations, we’re not able to offer refunds (this was advertised at the point of purchase). That said, if you can’t make it, the best option is to contact us so we can cancel your ticket and make it available for someone else. That way, it doesn’t go to waste and you’re helping someone else enjoy the night! Use the contact form at the bottom of this page.
-
Are children allowed?Absolutely! Under 17s get in free, but they’ll still need their own ticket to enter. They must be with a responsible adult at all times—no solo gig adventures just yet! While they can’t enjoy the bar (sorry, kids—no sneaky pints!), there’ll be plenty of soft drinks and good vibes to keep them happy.
-
What is the seating like? There are a few picnic benches in the garden, but they’re first come, first served—so we recommend bringing camping chairs or a blanket to make yourself comfy. Don’t forget this is a British summer, so pack some waterproofs and layers to stay warm and dry if the weather turns!
-
Is the main pub still open for regular guests?Yes! The main pub will be open as usual from 12pm onwards for anyone to enjoy—no ticket required. Please note that, unlike a typical Saturday, no food will be served from the main kitchen due to the event taking place. If you're soaking up the atmosphere and get tempted by the music drifting through you can grab a ticket any time during the night right here on the website and join the bash when you're ready.
-
Why is this event ticketed? We have to stick to a strict capacity limit for insurance and safety reasons, so ticketing helps us stay compliant and keep everyone safe. Unlike previous years where ticket sales closed on the day of the event, this time you’ll be able to buy tickets right up until the end of the night—as long as they haven’t sold out! So if you’re in the main pub enjoying a pint and decide to join the fun last-minute, you can still grab a ticket (stock depending).
-
Why are tickets sold online now instead of behind the bar?We totally get the nostalgia—but selling tickets the old-school way got a bit wild! Between 1am phone calls, cheques in the post, and cash floating around in every direction, it became tricky to manage. Bear in mind, tickets are a donation to our event, we use these funds to go back into the bash and improving it year on year. Moving ticket sales online keeps things simple, secure, and organised—so we can focus on putting on the best event possible (and get a full night’s sleep!).
-
Why has the price gone up?Over the years, the Bash (was the Festival) has seen increased costs, from sound and lighting, toilet hire, door staff and the bands themselves. We are dedicated to providing you with the best quality entertainment so charging a small ticket price helps us keep the event safe, high-quality, and running smoothly. Bear in mind, tickets are a donation to our event, we use these funds to go back into the bash and improving it year on year. We reinvest all the money back into the event itself, acquiring more bands, and better facilities. We also support other music events such as RegsBash in 2025 (a night raising money for Cancer Research UK).
-
Can I bring my own food and drink?Sorry, it’s a strict no. We’ve got the food and drink covered—with a fully stocked bar and tasty options available on-site. Outside food or beverages aren’t allowed, so please leave the picnic baskets and coolers at home. Support the event, enjoy what’s on offer, and let us do the catering! Anyone found with their own food or alcohol will be removed from the event. If you have a medical reason to bring outside items in, please contact us before the event.
-
Do I need ID?Yes, you do. Our event strictly adheres to a Challenge 25 policy. If you appear to be under 25, you’ll need to show a valid photo ID, whether it’s a passport, driving licence, or another approved form. This requirement helps ensure that we provide a safe and responsible drinking environment. Always bring your ID to avoid any inconvenience at the bar.
-
What is the Early Bird Discount? Our Early Bird offer is your chance to grab tickets at the best possible price—just £15 instead of £20, available until June 20th. It's our way of saying thank you to those who book early and help us plan ahead. Not only does it secure your spot for an incredible night of live music, but it also helps us deliver a smoother, better event for everyone. Booking early = saving money + supporting local events = win-win.
-
Is there parking? Our main car park will be packed with band vans, gear, and event crew vehicles, so you will struggle to find a spot. Your best bet? Walk down, hop in a taxi, or buddy up with a designated driver and park responsibly around the village. There’s usually plenty of space on nearby roads, just make sure you’re not blocking any driveways or access points—no one wants to leave the party to move a car.
-
Are dogs allowed?Yes—they're very welcome in both the pub and the garden! Just make sure they’re kept on a lead, are well-behaved, and comfortable with crowds and loud music. If your pup needs a drink, just ask at the bar and we’ll happily sort a water bowl. Please remember: no one wants to dodge excited paws in the middle of a guitar solo—so keep those tails wagging away from the main crowds.
-
Is the event accessible?Yes! The main access route is through the pub—head in the front, out the back door, and into the garden where our door staff will scan your ticket. For wheelchair users or anyone needing step-free access, there’s an alternative entrance via the garden gate in the car park. Just let the door staff know, and they’ll happily assist you. The garden area is mostly grass, so bear that in mind when planning your visit—especially if you’re bringing wheels or need extra support. Covered spots are limited, and they tend to go fast, so we recommend arriving early to grab a good spot for the music and stay comfy whatever the weather throws at us!
-
Can I leave and come back later?Yes! Once your ticket is scanned, you’ll be given a wristband that lets you come and go as you please throughout the night. Just make sure you keep it on and intact—if it’s lost, removed, or damaged, you might be refused re-entry. Treat it like gold (or at least like your entry to the party)!
-
Can I smoke or vape?Smoking and vaping are strictly not allowed inside any of the indoor areas, including the pub. However, you're welcome to smoke or vape outside in the garden. All we ask is that you dispose of your cigarette butts and vape waste responsibly, and be mindful of those around you—not everyone wants to catch a whiff of your smoke or that cloud of tutti-frutti unicorn blast.
